Rainy Skies, Radiant Love: A Valley Road Vineyards Wedding Story

Although the remnants of Hurricane Ian brought overcast skies and light rain, Krista and Caden’s wedding at Valley Road Vineyards in Afton, VA was still filled with warmth and beauty. While the venue’s sweeping views are usually a highlight, the soggy ground and misty air kept us indoors. Fortunately, the indoor spaces offered stunning settings for their wedding portraits, proving that even rain can’t dim a celebration like this one.

As the evening came to a close, the couple surprised guests with a sweet moment: a gender reveal for their baby, due at the end of the year. (Scroll down to see the reveal—it’s worth it!)

Just a few days after the wedding, we met again for a short post-wedding photo session. This time, it was more relaxed and casual, giving them a broader mix of images to cherish. Both the wedding day and the follow-up session captured Krista and Caden’s deep connection. Their joy was genuine, and photographing them was a true pleasure.
