The Founders Inn and Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
The Founders Inn in Virginia Beach is a popular wedding venue for ceremonies & receptions for many reasons. It’s versatility to host both ceremonies and/or receptions makes it among the top choices for the elegant bride and groom. My favorite ceremony location at the Founders Inn is the well-manicured English gardens, which lead out to a scenic lake with a water fountain. The surrounding Colonial brick architecture and Southern elegance provides a lovely backdrop for creating amazing photos from your wedding.
Wedding Venues
The great thing about the Founders Inn is that the indoor ceremony locations are just as elegant as the outdoor settings. The Classic Atrium boasts an ornate marble floor and fantastic sky views via the massive skylight in the atrium. The Virginia Ballroom is very popular for receptions, so even if you don’t host your ceremony at The Founders Inn, the fifteen-foot ceilings and over 12,000 square feet of ballroom space can be divided into four smaller sections, making it the ideal option for large or small weddings. The Swan Terrace, Lakeview Pavilion, and Fireplace Lobby are three more indoor locations at the Founders Inn, which gives brides and grooms multiple options from which to choose for their wedding plans.
On a More Personal Note…
The Founders Inn holds a special place in my heart because this is the venue where I married my wife Beth in July 2003 (our wedding was outside on the steps in the garden area, and it was an extremely hot day). The reception was also held in one section of the Virginia Ballroom and the food & service was fantastic.
