I've been photographing weddings since 2005 and I've enjoyed coming to each wedding to create memories for the bride & groom, their families, and their guests. But wedding photography is more than just showing up on the wedding day with a camera and taking pictures. A lot more thought goes into creating a photograph than just clicking a button. Not only do I have to pay attention to the lighting around me, but also I must anticipate the moments that take place in between the moments. Like the flower girl's glance at the bride getting ready, or the groom's genuine laugh at something said by his best man. Memories like these must be captured in order to preserve the emotion of the wedding day. Below is a litte advice to help you with planning the wedding day and creating memories.

The First Look

The first look is a special time for just the bride and groom to see and talk with each other before the ceremony. This is a really good option if you're pressed for time on the wedding day (or you have a late ceremony with diminished light). I can capture some really great emotions that are otherwise lost when the bride and groom don't get to really speak to each other until after the ceremony. Plus, after we're done with the first look we can take group portraits with the whole wedding party. When the formal family portraits are done after the ceremony the bride and groom can enjoy the cocktail hour or go straight to the reception to visit with their guests.

Planning Tips

As your wedding photographer, I'll work with you to plan the wedding day so that you can see how it all comes together. In order for me to serve you to the best of my ability, it's important for me to be tightly integrated into your wedding day. Once you know how much coverage you need, we'll work backwards from the end of your reception to the time when I will begin shooting. The most popular amount of coverage is 8 hours which usually means that I will show up at the end of the bride's preparation to capture the little details of her dress and the final touchups of her hair and makeup. For those brides who really want to create some special memories with her bridesmaids, I suggest being completely ready when I first come to meet you. The groom and his guys should be finishing up with getting ready so that I can capture the final details with them, too.

Same-Day Slideshow

Impress your guests with a same-day slideshow! Watch your wedding images come to life as your images from earlier in the day are projected at the reception. I'll setup my high-definition projector with an 80" screen, and if there's space in the room the images can be projected even bigger against the wall! Wedding Prices

My wedding prices start $1395 for 4 hours of coverage and a disc of images suitable for printing your own gift prints. Other packages are available or I can work with you to create a wedding package that is uniquely yours! I often book weddings up to a year in advance so be sure to contact me today to check my availability.
